Privacy policy
Last updated October 25, 2026
Command Post ("we", "us") provides operations software to emergency medical services agencies. This policy explains what information the Command Post platform collects, how it is used and how it is protected.
Who this applies to
Command Post is used by EMS agencies and their crew members. Each agency decides who has an account and what information it keeps in Command Post. For information an agency enters, the agency is responsible for it and we process it on the agency's behalf.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and password, or, if you choose "Continue with Google", the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us. We never receive your Google password.
- Work information your agency enters: such as schedules, time records, certifications, equipment checks, messages and incident information.
- Technical information: sign-in times, device and browser type, and records of activity kept for security, troubleshooting and audit purposes.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To provide the features your agency uses, including notifications and alerts.
- To keep the service working, investigate problems and prevent misuse.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google, we use the name and email address Google provides only to create and identify your Command Post account. Command Post's use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Who we share it with
Information is shared only with your agency and with the service providers that run Command Post for us, such as Amazon Web Services for hosting and email delivery. These providers may use it only to provide their services to us. Where health information is involved, we use providers that have signed a HIPAA business associate agreement. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How we protect it
Information is encrypted while it travels over the internet and while it is stored. Access is limited by role, so people see only what their agency permits. Activity is logged, and accounts support two-step sign-in.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as your agency uses Command Post, or longer where the law or your agency's record-keeping requirements call for it. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete information about you, contact your agency's administrator, or email us and we will work with your agency on your request.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
